WOODBURY, NY, June 13, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Research Frontiers Inc. today announced the retirement of Board Member William Graham Settle effective June 13, 2022. Graham Settle has served on the Board since 2020, served as Chair of its Compensation and Options Committee purchase of shares and was a member of the company’s audit committee. and the nominating and corporate governance committees.

William Graham Settle

Mr. Settle was first introduced to the company by its founder, Bob Saxe, in 1986 when Research Frontiers went public, four years after he began his Wall Street career at Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter. in 1982. His due diligence and involvement over time led him to make significant investments, including direct participation in the Company’s capital raising operations and purchases on the open market. Mr. Settle became an official Research Frontiers board member in 2020.

In 1994, Mr. Settle was hired to manage AT&T Capital’s new small and medium business initiative in North and South Carolina. The acquisition of AT&T Capital in 1996 marked the start of 18 years of overseas operations with a move to Bosnia and Herzegovina to establish the war-torn country’s first micro-finance institution. Under his leadership and in partnership with bilateral and multilateral shareholders, the young company achieved profitability and ranked 14th in the Forbes Top 50.

Mr. Settle continued to serve in the Balkans as Head of Mission for the World Bank Group‘s International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Sarajevo and later in Belgrade, where he led in-country liaison for the diplomatic accreditation from the World Bank Group and forensic audit of Serbia. arrears as a prelude to the Paris Club negotiations.

Following World Bank Group assignments, Graham Settle’s high-level roles at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) included serving on the board of recipient companies, the focal point for all development programs Private Sector Development for Developing Member Countries in the Asia and Pacific Region and the Regional Chief of Mission for Private Sector Development for Central Asia in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Mr. Settle has also served as a senior advisor to the Association of Independent Directors of Kazakhstan and a senior instructor for CFA candidates on ethics and professional standards. In 2012, he was one of the founders of the Intelligence By Design Eurasian Training Alliance public-private partnership with SAP, Pearson Education and the Government of Kazakhstan.

Through his participation in special projects for Research Frontiers in Asia, Europe and North America, Graham Settle has developed first-hand knowledge of the company, its technology and the industries it serves, with personal interaction with major SPD emulsion/film and glass licensees and customers. around the globe. His experience in international and governmental affairs and his financial and strategic advice abroad have brought a global perspective to Research Frontiers on these projects, and continues to do so as a member of the Research Frontiers Board.

Graham Settle was also a founding member of identity theft and cybersecurity company InfoArmor in 2007. InfoArmor was acquired by All State Insurance in 2018.

Following the loss of his wife Amy, Graham took a year off to homeschool his two young children as they traveled to 15 countries in 2017-18. Mr. Settle also personally sponsored a Bosnian student for university studies in the United States.

Mr. Settle is a Chartered Financial Analyst, completed the United States Marine Corps Platoon Leader Course at Quantico, was an AAU Boxing Champion, completed the Strategic Negotiations Executive Program at the University from Harvard and holds an MBA from East Carolina University.

Graham has 18 years of international operational experience in countries in Asia and the Pacific, Caucuses and Eurasia, Central Asia, Middle East, Southern, Eastern and Central Europe.
