Push to boost Bahrain’s investment in Bosnia

MANAMA: Bahrain’s investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina are estimated at more than $ 200 million, which is expected to increase and diversify, said Jawad Al Hawaj, president of the Bahrain-Bosnia-Herzegovina Friendship and Business Society (BBHS).

Confirming that the next step is ripe to open new horizons in terms of work, cooperation and common interests in the sectors of commerce, tourism, real estate, industry, finance, banking and entrepreneurship, Mr. Al Hawaj invited members of society, business owners and investors for a gathering dinner today at Al Hawaj Gardens.

The meeting would help develop communication and relations between Bahrain and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which can be a gateway for local investors to Balkan countries and some European countries which reflect the stability of Bahrain’s investment environment .

He also mentioned that there are vast prospects in many sectors, as Bahrain stands ready to be a gateway for business owners and Bosnians to the Persian Gulf countries and the Arab region, and at the same time, Bahraini investors can take advantage of Bosnia’s position as a gateway country to the Balkans and other countries.

Mr. Al Hawaj also noted that the association had a leading role in helping to open a direct air route for Gulf Air between Bahrain and Bosnia with the very forthcoming expansion of direct flights between the two countries. .

He added: “We are working to overcome the impasse imposed by the pandemic. During Bahrain Week in Bosnia, there are many opportunities for cooperation and partnership between Bahraini business owners and their counterparts in the friendly country, which is scheduled to host a Bosnia Return Week in Bahrain, which means opening up more spaces for communication. and joint cooperation in the coming period.

Mr. Al Hawaj added that the company’s agenda also includes holding joint meetings between entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises in Bahrain and Bosnia, based on the availability of vast joint opportunities in many fields, as well as cultural and artistic activities projects, stressing that the Bahrain-Bosnia-Herzegovina Friendship and Business Society has a role to play to play the reality of mutual benefits between the two countries in various fields.
