SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 30 (SeeNews) – The Bosnian civil engineering company Integral Inzenjering has submitted the lowest bid in a call for tenders for the construction of a ring road section in the northern town of Doboj, local media reported.
Integral Inzenjering has offered to build the road section for Mk 182.7 million ($ 110 million / $ 93 million), the Capital.ba news portal reported on Monday.
The Chinese Shandong International has submitted the second lowest bid of 185.8 million mark in the tender launched by the motorway company of the entity of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia, Autoputevi Republike Srpske.
The construction of the section located in the Serbian Republic is financed by an EBRD loan of 150 million euros, the report said.
The Doboj ring road, with a total length of 14 kilometers, will consist of two sections – one located in the Serbian Republic and the other in the Federation entity. Once the construction of the section in the Serbian Republic is completed, the Federation’s motorway company, Autoceste Federacije, will take over to lead the construction of the remaining 8.5 kilometers.
Three other candidates submitted bids under the call for tenders: a Chinese consortium comprising China Road & Bridge Corporation and CCCC Second Highway Engineering (204.6 million marka), Turkish Kalyon Insaat Sanayi (284.1 million marka) and the Turkish Limak Insaat Sanayi (371.5 million marka).
