James Stewart leaves Raiffeisen Bank Romania after 21 years to lead the Austrian group’s division in Bosnia

James stewart, Vice-President of Banque Raiffeisen in charge of Treasury and Capital Markets, will leave the bank after 21 years. He will take over as interim CEO of Raiffeisen Bank Bosnia and Herzegovina.

James Stewart arrived in Romania in 2000 and took part in the takeover and restructuring of the former public lender Banca Agricola by the Austrian group Raiffeisen. He has participated alongside the president of the bank Steven van Groningen, in all the development projects of the bank since then.

James Stewart, who worked in the financial sector in New York before coming to Romania, was also directly involved in the development of the local capital market, where Raiffeisen Bank is one of the main players.
